Shift: Full-Time | Days | Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM

As a Sterile Processing Technician 2 , you are responsible for the decontamination, sterilization, processing, and distribution of medical equipment and instruments. You will also support the development of entry-level team members by mentoring and training Sterile Processing Technician 1 staff.


Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and arrange procedure and surgical rooms by organizing instruments, trays, and supplies according to department needs.
• Clean and disinfect instruments using approved methods, detergents, and sterilization equipment.
• Monitor and manage inventory by ordering, restocking, and distributing sterile and reusable medical equipment.
• Comply with infection control, safety, and environmental standards to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Mentor and train new and existing staff; lead in-service training sessions for team development.

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

Certification (One of the following required):

• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
• Certified Board Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
• Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT)
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
